Original Vintage Frank Lloyd Wright Johnson Wax Press Photograph. This photo was found in an envelope containing about 20 photographs of different views of the SC Johnson research facilities in Racine Wisconsin. They were printed in 1987 as promotional pieces for a calendar. The photos are very well shot and printed on glossy Kodak paper. The typed piece of paper in the last photo is NOT included in the sale. It was only included to add context. Photo measures 8×10 inches. Will look great framed up! Antique circa 1915 chair desk designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for install in the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Larkin Administration Building Buffalo NY. Historic Building and contents scrapped in typical WNY fashion, demolished during the early 1950′s. This example was removed by an engineer just prior to demolition of the building. Punched and folded steel construction with detachable cast iron feet by Van Dorn Iron Ohio USA. Attached canti lever swing out folding chair. Original stuffing and black leather upholstery at the chair seat and back. The desktop is not original, a wood top is currently bolted in place. The original top was poured magnesite, long gone, removed by the previous owner to allow for the install of the current wood top. Most, if not all desks, were used as bench lathe mount benches in the workshop after removal from the building. NY state did remove and store the FLW building contents for decades after the building was demolished only to later SCRAP IT ALL in the early 1970′s.
An exceptional set of eight Mission or Arts & Crafts style high back dining chairs Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Isabel Roberts House (1908) These are very high quality reproductions. An example of the original is found at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. USA, Circa 1980s Solid quarter sawn oak frames, with leather seats. Measures: Side chairs – 20″W x 19.5″D x 49H. Seat height: 18.5. Armchairs – 23.75″W x 20″D x 49.25H. Arm height: 24.25. Very good original vintage condition. Frank Lloyd Wright designed side chair from his Taliesin line for Heritage- Henredon, 1955-56. The chairs are in good vintage condition. There are marks, dings, and scratches throughout. The fabric shows wear and stains. This set would be a perfect candidate for reupholstery. Height: 39.5 in. In 1955 Frank Lloyd Wright teamed with the Heritage-Henredon furniture partnership to create a furniture collection intended for the American mass market. The group was the “Taliesin Collection, ” with an initial offering of 63 pieces. The Taliesin Collection was ahead of its time. When the group was introduced, both the decorating world and the homeowner herself had trouble finding an application for the group that fit. ” At the time, Taliesin didn’t seem to work with traditional styles, nor did it fit in with the “new modern, made of new space age materials, including of plastic and metal. The Taliesin Collection bridges styles, pulling together so many things that are today considered modern. It’s for exactly this reason that the Taliesin items from Heritage-Henredon are so appropriate and sought today. Please contact me prior to purchasing and I will generate an accurate quotation.
