This panoramic sketch shows Architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Dream Project” of a municipal office building and civic center in Madison, Wisconsin, to get away from just another office building downtown. The buildings in the foreground are now up. Wright, backed by rural members of the Dance county board, proposes a seven acre fill in Lake Monona. County and municipal offices would extend three stores under the outer rim of the semicircle, leaving promenades, open terraces and automobile drives on the surface.
