Directory remains 100% functional, and 100% legible. Directory contains the names, addresses, and occupations of Frank Lloyd Wright, RW (Richard Warren) Sears, and Clarence Hemingway. Frank Lloyd Wright would have been roughy 36 years old at the time, Sears 40, and Hemingway 32. Clarence Hemingway was the father of Ernest Hemingway. Ernest would have been roughly 4 years old at the time.

Antique Frank Lloyd Wright Designed Chair Desk Larkin Admin Building Buffalo NY

Antique circa 1915 chair desk designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for install in the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Larkin Administration Building Buffalo NY. Historic Building and contents scrapped in typical WNY fashion, demolished during the early 1950′s. This example was removed by an engineer just prior to demolition of the building. Punched and folded steel construction with detachable cast iron feet by Van Dorn Iron Ohio USA. Attached canti lever swing out folding chair. Original stuffing and black leather upholstery at the chair seat and back. The desktop is not original, a wood top is currently bolted in place. The original top was poured magnesite, long gone, removed by the previous owner to allow for the install of the current wood top. Most, if not all desks, were used as bench lathe mount benches in the workshop after removal from the building. NY state did remove and store the FLW building contents for decades after the building was demolished only to later SCRAP IT ALL in the early 1970′s.

This is an extremely rare book – F. Schumacher Frank Lloyd Wright Wallpaper Book. Has over 148 pages of actual wallpaper samples and matching borders – influenced from Frank Lloyd Wright’s many buildings. Sections are divided by colorful page describing which FLW building is being depicted — Robie House, Taliesin, Hoffman House, Imperial Palace, Coonley House, etc. There are so many pictures i wanted to include — if you send a message request I can attach more — this book is in exceptional condition – considering age and number of times looked through in making design choices — see last picture to show the inside of back cover — however still the hard back cover securely attached and sound — price list is included. Pages are not torn, sturdy and not brittle –no smells — wonderful to see and feel the texture of the wallpaper — truly a rare find – museum worthy for sure. Approx size of book 13″ by 10″ by 2.5.

Antique Frank Lloyd Wright Larkin Building Metal Built In Filing Cabinet Unit

An Antique Original Metal Built In Section of Filing Cabinet. This unit was identified, authenticated and auctioned by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy in 2009, Lot #6, and was a gift of Jack Quinan, Conservancy founder and Frank Lloyd Wright historian. As the building was demolished in 1950 there are very few industrial type items like this that remain. More on the Larkin Building can easily be found online. The last photo here shows a room in the Larkin Administration Building with this type of cabinet in multiples installed to a wall. The drawers all open and each drawer except the largest has adjustable sliders to accommodate how much is stored at a time. All of the hardware is original. There are drill holes at each corner on top as these would have been bolted together in multiples. The surfaces are aged and distressed but are all original enamel.
