This flat top ACME roller ball has rounded end caps, and a matte silver finish. Never been used, comens in a custom Frank LLoyd Wright ACME tin. ACME Studio writing instruments are well designed with a comfortable weight and shape. Pens are constructed using metal barrels with hand applied color images – the finest lacquers are used. Quality manufacturing is demonstrated by metal-to-metal threading. Archived ACME Studio FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT “Playhouse” Roller Ball Pen – NEW “Playhouse” Standard Roller Ball Pen, a design inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, comes from ACME Studio’s Standard Roller Ball Pens. The design has silver line work with red, yellow, and blue accents on a black background that are reminiscent of the windows in the child’s playhouse designed by Wright for Avery Coonley in the suburbs of Chicago – representing balloons and confetti in a Fourth of July Parade. The pen comes with one black roller ball refill. Artist’s signature is engraved on the cap band and “ACME” is on the clip. The pen is presented in a metal Frank Lloyd Wright tin with a black sleeve and ACME literature. His work heralded a new thinking in architecture, using innovation in design and engineering made possible by newly developed technology and materials. His creative ability extended far beyond the border of architecture to graphic design, furniture, art glass, textiles, and decorative elements for the home. Adapted from the complex rectilinear design of the art glass skylights in the impressive entrance of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Studio (Oak Park, IL, 1898). Painted with transparent enamels, kiln-fired & framed in wood. Wood stand included and hardware for hanging included (refer to photos). On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass is then wood framed and includes a custom wooden plaque base. The measurements of this beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright Glass art are: GLASS: 15.5″ Tall x 7″ Wide x 0.25 Thick. Vintage ACME Studio FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT Mini Sterling Silver “Johnson” Chair NEW ACME’s Sterling Silver Miniature Chairs was a collection to commemorate famous chairs designed by Charles & Ray Eames, Mies Van Der Rohe, Michele de Lucchi, Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Philippe Starck, Gerrit Rietveld, Arne Jacobsen, Ettore Sottsass, Shigeru Uchida, Michael Thonet and Eero Saarinen. The collection was originally released in 1990. This is a miniature version of the “Johnson” chair designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. These are sterling silver which tarnishes over time, so some polishing may be needed. Some people like the tarnish/patina so we leave them as they are. DIMENSIONS: L: 1-13/16″ W: 1-3/4″ H: 2-3/8.
