Decorate your favorite room with this hand-painted designer resin sculpture featuring the Flower in the Crannied Wall Statue designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Bock to be placed in the entrance alcove of the Dana Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois. The astounding sculpture measures 18.25″ tall, 5.25″ long and 5.25 deep approximately. Flower in the Crannied Wall was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Bock for placement in the entrance alcove of the 1902 Susan Lawrence Dana House in Springfield, Illinois. While Wright knew he wanted a sculpture in this location, he was uncertain about just what he wanted. The final design, executed by Bock in terra cotta, combined ideas from both architect and sculptor and resulted in a naturalistic rendering of a female nude rising from a geometrically abstract column. Named after the Alfred Lord Tennyson poem, which is also shown on the back, the sculpture symbolically represents the human attempt to understand nature and the universe. Poem on back of Sculpture reads “Flower in the crannied wall, I pluck you out of the crannies, I hold you here, root and all, in my hand, little flower but if I could understand what you are, root and all, and all in all, I should know what God and man is”. Tiffany & Co Crystal FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT 8 Flower Vase VERY GOOD pre-owned condition! FREE OF CHIPS AND CRACKS! This piece has some scuffs and scratches across a few sides of the vase where it appears something scraped against it or it was rolled on the floor. Under close inspection, they are visible but would easily be overlooked when used with flowers. They are especially hard to notice against a pale backdrop. An octagonal staple for the mid century modern home and a perfect chance to get a great deal on it. The tiffany blue sticker is mostly in tact and gives the illusion that the piece is new. Signed on the base as shown. Measures 8 ½” tall, 4 ¾” across. Please reach out if you have any questions! This item is in the category “Pottery & Glass\Decorative Pottery & Glassware\Vases”. The Frank Lloyd Wright Hollyhock House Stained Glass is adapted from one of Wrights first Los Angeles project, the Hollyhock House, which was completed in 1923. The house was inspired by the favorite flower of Aline Barnsdall who commissioned the home. Geometric patterns are used to represent the design detail Wright used in four of the homes adjacent living room sidelights. On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass is then metal framed and includes both a hanging chain and a wooden plaque base. The measurements of this beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright Glass art are: GLASS: 14″ by 7.75″ Wide x 0.25 Thick. This is an Ebros Gift exclusive collection. Coke can and props placed next to the artwork are not included with the listing. They are meant to provide size perspective of the item.
