The dimensions of the Standing Tang Horse is L: 15.5″ x W: 5.75″ x H: 13. It weighs about 17.25 pounds. This Standing Tang Horse is made of designer composite polystone resin, hand painted and polished. Polystone which is composed of polyurethane, resin, and mixed with powdered stone additives that give it added weight and a porcelain or “stone-like” feel. Polystone is very durable and delivers a cleaner, more substantial representation of an original sculpture than other common materials. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this product supports the Foundation’s conservation and education programs. This Tang Horse makes a great historical gift! During the Tang dynasty, the horse was a symbol of status and power. Frank Lloyd Wright was an avid collector of Asian art and incorporated fine examples of it in his homes. Frank Lloyd Wright Midway Gardens Tabletop Sprite with Baton Statue 12. The Gardens fell victim to financial troubles and was demolished in 1929. This hand-cast cement garden sculpture was adapted from the drawings found in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation archives. Depth: 2.5 inch. The astounding sculpture measures 18.25″ tall, 5.25″ long and 5.25 deep approximately. Flower in the Crannied Wall was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Bock for placement in the entrance alcove of the 1902 Susan Lawrence Dana House in Springfield, Illinois. While Wright knew he wanted a sculpture in this location, he was uncertain about just what he wanted. The final design, executed by Bock in terra cotta, combined ideas from both architect and sculptor and resulted in a naturalistic rendering of a female nude rising from a geometrically abstract column. Named after the Alfred Lord Tennyson poem, which is also shown on the back, the sculpture symbolically represents the human attempt to understand nature and the universe.
