Kaufmann Foundation by The Horizon Press in 1959. 255 pages, color and B&W illustrations of original Wright drawings throughout; essays by Giuseppe Samona, A. Hyatt Mayor, Mildred Schmertz, others. Condition is Near Fine, with only issue being small faded spot on cover; otherwise, in excellent condition for its age.
THE PATTERN IS “IMPERIAL”. ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THE IMPERIAL PALACE IN JAPAN. WHITE CERAMIC PORCELAIN WITH GOLD TRIM. THE GOLD DESIGN IS BY ARCHITECT “FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT”.
This is the world’s first collection of works by the great master Wright, who continued to have a great influence on modern architecture, in the form of a historical compilation. The cover is faded due to sun exposure.
This design is adapted from one of the art glass windows in the Frederick C. Cherry wood veneer with hand made Shoji paper shade material. Inline switch on a 5.5′ cord. 4 watt LED tubular bulb.
