Frank Lloyd Wright Licensed NAKOMIS Indian 36 Outdoor Sculpture SAND STONE

This distinctive sculpture was originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1923 to be located at the entry pools to the Community of Nakoma Country Club in Madison, Wisconsin. The Native American warrior, Nakomis, is a rectilinear design – Proud, angular and striking. With a commanding, fatherly presence he teaches his son to shoot with a bow and arrow. He stands 36 high and weighs 100 pounds. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, it should not be exposed to extremes in temperature. Vtg Antique Frank Lloyd Wright Joseph Bust Artist Plaster Bronze Sculpture. This bust of Frank Lloyd Wright was made by Joseph Konzal in the 1950s and is comprised of a painted bronze patina on plaster mounted to a wooden base. Konzal was a recognized sculptor who designed busts of other notable figures between 1930 and 1960 including Walt Whitman and Martha Graham. The piece is signed by the artist on the back. One small paint chip on back left side of head but in otherwise great condition! What is seen is exactly what is received.
