THS IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND RARE STERLING SILVER ART DECO COFFEE SERVICE DESIGNED BY FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT AND MADE BY TIFFANY. THIS AMAZING STERLING SET WAS DESIGNED FOR THE IMPERIAL HOTEL IN TOKYO IN 1918. IN 1985 TIFFANY ENTERED INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT FOUNDATION TO MANUFACTURE SOME OF THE SILVER WRIGHT HAD DESIGNED FOR THE IMPERIAL HOTEL IN 1918. THE QUALITY OF BOTH THE DESIGN AND MAKING OF THIS SET IS TRULY REMARKABLE. THE SET IS IN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING CONDITION WITH A FANTASTIC NATURAL PATINA AND PRISTINE ORIGINAL SURFACES. THE COFFEE POT MEASURES 9 1/2″ TALL X 8 1/2″ WIDE AND WEIGHS 39.2 TROY OUNCES. THE COVERED SUGAR BOWL IS 2 3/4″ TALL X 6 1/2″ WIDE AND 22.9 TROY OUNCES. THE CREAMER IS 3 1/2″ TALL X 3 7/8″ WIDE AND WEIGHS 14 TROY OUNCES. THE TOTAL COMBINED WEIGHT IS 76.1 TROY OUNCES. A hexagonal coffee table in Honduran mahogany designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for Heritage-Henredon in 1955. One of three furniture lines submitted to Henredon, each based around a different geometric module, the hexagonal Taliesin line was the only collection produced. The beveled edge of the coffee table is graced the the Taliesin signature: an engraved Greek key motif. Two V-shaped segments form the legs of the table. Excellent restored condition; professionally refinished. 48 width x 42 depth x 17.5 height; each side is 24 long. Offering for sale a very rare 1955 production Frank Lloyd Wright design coffee table, produced under license by Henredon Furniture. It has a solid slate top, with a Mahogany base. Both are in excellent original condition with no damage. Top is original and base is signed. Top is chip and stain free. Top weighs about 150lbs. Please contact me with any questions.
