Louis Sullivan Auditorium Theatre Frank Lloyd Wright Home Studio Plaster Panel. This is a casting of panels produced circa 1970s for the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio in Oak Park, Illinois. The design was initially used in the second floor hotel lobby of the Auditorium Building circa 1888-89, where Wright worked as a draftsman for Sullivan. A couple of hand typed cards from the FLW Home and Studio accompany the plaque and give their version of the origin of the design. Similar examples can be seen in the collections of the City Museum of St. Louis, Missouri and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Wire on back for wall hanging. Measures 29.5in x 29.5in.
