The Thaliassen Wall was originally designed as a pendant light in 1933 when the Hillside Home School gymnasium was converted into a theater. Vertical light, controlled by a number of blocks covering the lamp, is further reflected by a shading plate to provide a pleasant indirect light. This product can be mounted on plasterboard or wood walls in rental housing with minimal holes by using the included mounting kit. If there is wiring in the wall, it can be attached to the one-touch connector on the back for use. This product is a generic reproduction manufactured in Japan. Can be replaced with any E17 size bulb of your choice (incandescent bulb, fluorescent bulb, LED bulb); if you use a dimmer, you must replace the incandescent bulb. HILLS HOUSE WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE IN 1976. FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS, MY FATHER REBUILT THE HOUSE TO THE ORIGINAL FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT DESIGN AND BLUE PRINTS. UPON COMPLETTION OF THE REBUILD, MY FATHER HAD THIS PIECE COMMISSIONED. THE DRAWING IS DONE IN PENCIL BY THE ARTIST HENNESSY, DATED AND SIGNED 1981. THIS IS THE ONLY PIECE.
