Vintage Walnut Stained Mahogany Bench Coffee Table Style of Frank Lloyd Wright f

Handsome walnut stained mahogany bench or coffee table custom made in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright for Henredon. It is in wonderful original vintage condition. It does have some signs of age including small scratches and nicks and dings; but nothing major. This is an awesome bench! Or is it a coffee table? I think it is a bench coffee table!! No matter its use it is cool, interesting, and has a great story. It is comprised of beautiful warm and wonderful walnut stained mahogany that forms a rectangle with 90-degree wings on either end supported by two walnut stained mahogany slab legs. All with a bullnose edge. It is made in the style of the famed architect/designer Frank Lloyd Wright who in 1957 designed the Taliesin line of furnishings for Heritage-Henredon. The story we were told by the original owners daughter is that her parents were very enamored with those designs by Wright but none of the pieces quite fit their purpose. So, they had a local craftsman construct this table/bench for them to their specifications. This piece is minus the Taliesin-esk architectural carving of Wrights design for Henredon but is stunning regardless. Whether you use this as a cool coffee table or add a couple pillows to it for a bench it will look wonderful. You need to make it yours! Width 60.25 Inches. Depth 19.75 Inches. THS IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND RARE STERLING SILVER ART DECO COFFEE SERVICE DESIGNED BY FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT AND MADE BY TIFFANY. THIS AMAZING STERLING SET WAS DESIGNED FOR THE IMPERIAL HOTEL IN TOKYO IN 1918. IN 1985 TIFFANY ENTERED INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT FOUNDATION TO MANUFACTURE SOME OF THE SILVER WRIGHT HAD DESIGNED FOR THE IMPERIAL HOTEL IN 1918. THE QUALITY OF BOTH THE DESIGN AND MAKING OF THIS SET IS TRULY REMARKABLE. THE SET IS IN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING CONDITION WITH A FANTASTIC NATURAL PATINA AND PRISTINE ORIGINAL SURFACES. THE COFFEE POT MEASURES 9 1/2″ TALL X 8 1/2″ WIDE AND WEIGHS 39.2 TROY OUNCES. THE COVERED SUGAR BOWL IS 2 3/4″ TALL X 6 1/2″ WIDE AND 22.9 TROY OUNCES. THE CREAMER IS 3 1/2″ TALL X 3 7/8″ WIDE AND WEIGHS 14 TROY OUNCES. THE TOTAL COMBINED WEIGHT IS 76.1 TROY OUNCES.
