Architecture of the modern West. Collection of articles by leading Western architects. General editing and critical articles by D. M Izogiz 1932 188 p. The book contains articles by leading European and American architects of that time: Le Corbusier, Bruno Taut, Jacobs Johannes Aud, Frank Lloyd Wright (the prototype of Howard Roark from the novel “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand), Andre Lursa, V. Spine with a tear. The book block is in very good condition. Weight – 0.4 kg.

Taliesin West The Atom Brick. The Atom Brick is 3/4 the size of “standard” building bricks. Here he, along with his family and fellows of his school established their winter retreat over the course of 22 years. They named it Taliesin West, distinguishing it from his residence in Wisconsin, known simply as Taliesin. “Taliesin” is Welsh for “shining brow” and the Taliesin West The Atom Brick set showcases the dynamic angles of the roof lines and floor plans of the campus. These letter openers pop up from time to time. None of the others belonged to and were used by Frank Lloyd Wrights daughter Iovanna. She lived at Taliesin on and off along with my now deceased half-brother and his mother Doris Roy (who was married to my father in the late 1940′s/early 1950′s, producing one child, my half-brother). This item was removed from Iovanna Lloyd Wright’s living quarters and was used by Doris for years to come. When Doris passed, personal possessions were willed to my half-brother, his possessions were then willed to me. I have no photographs proving this; only the details shared with me from my half-brother from information given to him from his mother Doris. Doris’ husband is currently the oldest living fellow, still at Taliesin West at 91 years of age. Doris and Arnold met at Taliesin West in the early 1950′s, never living elsewhere.
