Available in 5 standard colors: Limestone, Cream, Terra Cotta, Pewter, and Tan. Color samples are available upon request. Dry cast stone is a durable and attractive alternative to other materials such as terra cotta, clay, fiberglass, or plastic. The nature of the stone gives it the ability to age and patina like natural stone. The mix designs and curing methods used give the stone increased strength, weather tolerance, and resistance to abrasion. All mix designs meet with the standard specifications of the Cast Stone Institute for architectural cast stone. Each piece is assigned a numbered Frank Lloyd Wright signature plaque to distinguish its place in the Frank Lloyd Wright® stoneware collection. The dimensions of the Standing Tang Horse is L: 15.5″ x W: 5.75″ x H: 13. It weighs about 17.25 pounds. This Standing Tang Horse is made of designer composite polystone resin, hand painted and polished. Polystone which is composed of polyurethane, resin, and mixed with powdered stone additives that give it added weight and a porcelain or “stone-like” feel. Polystone is very durable and delivers a cleaner, more substantial representation of an original sculpture than other common materials. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this product supports the Foundation’s conservation and education programs. This Tang Horse makes a great historical gift! During the Tang dynasty, the horse was a symbol of status and power. Frank Lloyd Wright was an avid collector of Asian art and incorporated fine examples of it in his homes.
