This sale is for an original opening day Sarah Moni packet from Frank Lloyd Wrights only skyscraper. It is the price tower in Bartlesville Oklahoma. This is from February 9, 1956. It is a folder that measures eight and three-quarter inches by 11 inches. It has graphics in black and red at the price tower to the front with the design continuing on to the back. Has one bumped bottom left bottom corner, otherwise in very good condition. Inside you get everything pictured. I tried to show everything. There are photos postcards for an order form and two brochures and a small booklet. Again this is an original, they came out of an estate in Bartlesville. The item “Rare Orig 1956 Opening Day Ceremony Packet Frank Lloyd Wright Price Tower Photo” is in sale since Saturday, March 16, 2019. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Historical Memorabilia\Fairs, Parks & Architecture\Buildings”. The seller is “mod50s” and is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Midway Gardens Top Logo Frank LLoyd Wright Designed Rare unusual the. Ade in 1914 as marked on the bottom. A vintage China Platter with Midway Gardens top logo! The logo “MIDWAY GARDENS” with a square around the outside a red triangle inside the “W”. On the back side of the china has an impressed mark from the maker “BAUSCHER CHINA” IT Says in red copy New York-Chicago, Bauscher Weidan Germany 1914. This is a great old piece, the china is without any cracks or chips it does have wear to the edge of the red squares design to the outside from use. I have never seen this large 9 3/4″ Across by 6″ Wide, this bigger size plate is harder to come by I have seen a smaller plate but never this size. The Midway Gardens, 60th & Cottage Grove Ave. Chicago, IL name and ownership was only under the first owners for 2 short seasons from the opening June 27 th. 1914 tell Edelweiss Brewing Co. Took over in 1916. The name then was changed to “EDELWEISS GARDENS” it makes sense the new owners would have destroyed these pieces and not have kept any Midway Gardens logo printed material anymore. So as you can imagine these items are very scarce. The entire structure was torn down in 1929. As always, thank you very much for looking. Please see all the pictures. They can be enlarged. Please Note: I may have other auctions going on with more Historic, Restaurant, Railroad, Steamship, Hotel, Airline, or Advertising China or Silverplate. Please take a look! The item “1914 Opening Year Midway Gardens Top Logo Frank LLoyd Wright Rare 9 3/4 X 6″ is in sale since Saturday, November 3, 2018.
