My Father Who is on Earth SIGNED by John Lloyd Wright 1946 1st Edition Putnam HC (2171186). This is a used book with heavy wear, missing the dust jacket. Signed by John Lloyd Wright on the second page, with an inscription “in the cause of peace” and the year’46. Also has a gift inscription on the front endpage. Some corner damage, water damage and stains on the cover and inside. Binding is intact, moderate unidentified smell, no signs of mold or mildew. See pictures for overview of condition. This is one of the most famous works titled “July Fourth, ” officially authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation as a collectible item. The original artwork is one of 12 designs created in 1927 for the cover of Liberty Magazine. A metal nameplate with the inscription “Frank Lloyd Wright” is located near the center at the bottom of the frame. Kaufmann Charitable Foundation, Pittsburgh, Pa. Library of Congress # 59-10989. Manufactured in the USA. Printed by Hermer Lithography on Stonebridge Text paper. Title page by Paul Mayen. Previously owned with terracotta colored hardcover with Frank Lloyd Wright’s name on front. Gilt text on spine. No handwritten notes in text that I can find. Partial name plate on inside cover. Pages have normal wear (bumped, a few corner creases, marks, etc). Cover is in good condition with a few minor marks, fading, areas of wear, etc. No musty or smoke odors. Binding in all in-tact. Please see pictures for condition. Original dust jacket will be included but it is in very poor condition with numerous tears, missing areas, tape, etc. The book measures approximately 13 3/4″ x 11 3/4 x 1 1/4″.
