I live in the Los Feliz neighborhood and in the mid-2000′s the house underwent massive renovations due to structural and erosion issues. To my shock, huge amounts of the original bricks were just being tossed into dumpsters and carted away to the dump. I asked the foreman overseeing the project if I could have a few of the bricks in the dumpster and he agreed.
