His creative ability extended far beyond the border of architecture to graphic design, furniture, art glass, linens, sculpture and decorative products for the home. Measures 18.5″ tall by 5.5″ wide by 5.75 long. This Frank Lloyd Wright Collection product is authorized b. Y the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Taliesin West, Scottsdale, AZ, USA. A portion of the proceeds from this product supports the conservation and education programs of the foundation. “Flower in the Crannied Wall” was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Bock for placement in the entrance alcove of the 1902 Susan Lawrence Dana House in Springfield, Illinois, where it can still be seen. While Wright knew he wanted a sculpture in this location, he was uncertain about just what he wanted. The final design, executed by Bock in terra cotta, combined ideas from both architect and sculptor and resulted in a naturalistic rendering of a female nude rising from a geometrically abstract column. Named after the Alfred Lord Tennyson poem, which is also shown on the back, the sculpture symbolically represents the human attempt to understand nature and the universe. The sconces look fantastic and are in excellent condition but there is a little bit of paint spots on the backs where they were mounted to the wall. Mid Century Style Wall Clock Art Palm Springs Landscape Eames Frank Lloyd Wright

We wanted to create a most unique one of a kind 3 dimensional sculptural wall clock… This wall clock is a mixed media landscape representation of a mid century Eames or Frank Lloyd Wright home – a Palm Springs style home. We also wanted to produce this Palm Springs home in the Picasso style of assemblage. Assemblage is an artistic form or medium usually created on a defined substrate that consists of three-dimensional elements projecting out of or from the substrate. It is similar to collage, or a two dimensional medium. It is part of the visual arts, and it typically uses found objects, but not limited to these materials. A sturdy piece of plywood has been adhered to back of the plexiglass to provide strength and stability. The wood accents along the borders and definitions ng the house have been hand cut from a chunk of cherrywood. The elements used to create the art aspects are: ceramic tile, wax cord, glass tile, gravel, crushed glass, fabric, small wood coffee stirrers/sticks, sea shells and plastic flower blooms. It measures 26 x 15.5. The clock fitting are all new. Please let us know if you have questions.
