Handcrafted art tile in the tradition of Frank Lloyd Wright Motawi tileworks. Measures 7-7/8″x7-7/8″x5/8, excellent condition. Comes with a display stand. Throughout his life, Mr. Wright expressed himself with precision geometry in graphic design. This tile is adapted from a presentation drawing which Mr. Wright submitted to Liberty magazine as one of twelve cover designs in 1927. Although not published at the time, Mr. Wright later modified it for use as a carpet design. Today, it is considered to be the most popular of all the Liberty covers and an outstanding example of asymmetrical composition. UPPER: Waterproof full-grain leather upper. INSULATION: Removable 9mm washable recycled felt inner boot with Sherpa Pile snow cuff. MID SOLE: 2.5 mm bonded felt frost plug. OUT SOLE: Handcrafted waterproof vulcanized rubber shell with herringbone out sole. SO REL rated: -40° Fahrenheit / -40° Celsius.
