This is a hardcover book with a jacket. Its binding is good. Slipcase shows some wear along the top and bottom edges. Case is torn in corner. The jacket is in good condition. This is a nice, original printing of. Catalogue of a loan exhibition of Japanese colour prints; with notes explanatory and descriptive, and an introductory essay by Frederick William Gookin. Art Institute of Chicago. Included in the catalog are a large number of Frank Lloyd Wright’s collection of Japanese prints which he contributed to the exhibition. Others contributing were Buckingham and Gookin. Measures 6.5″ x 10″ and contains 132 pages detailing 652 lots. There is some mild surface discoloration to covers. Interior pages good, text sharp and clean. A nicer example would be very difficult to find! A great addition to any collection! This is truly a wonderful item! It is an original “The Art Institute of Chicago Catalogue of a Loan Exhibition of Japanese Colour Prints March 5 to March 25 1908″ This is an absolutely unused never opened item. The pages are uncut as printed and bound. I have photographed the title page from the side as I didn’t want to alter the state of the item. The condition is remarkable with virtually no wear. The single block of interior pages have separated from the one piece covers and spine paper. It will be very easy to re glue that spine but I choose to let the new owner do so. Measures 6 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ and is complete. It contains 652 listings of prints. I have photographed the lists that appear on outside of uncut pages. From what I have read, Mr Wright contributed approx one quarter of the prints exhibited and was responsible for many of the incredible display pieces used in the exhibit. There is some very very minimal wear. It would be impossible to find a nicer example! A great addition to any collection! This has to be a very rare item! It is an original 1912 First Edition of The Japanese Print An Interpretation by Frank Lloyd Wright Chicago Ralph Fletcher Seymour Company It measures 5 3/8″ x 8 3/8″ and contains 35 numbered pages and end pages front and back of beautiful Japanese rice paper. The covers appear to be boards covered with rice paper as well. The front cover has some tiny light spots of discoloration and the back cover appears to have one spot. The interior pages are quite nice with only the most minimal wear. The spine is in very good condition with perhaps some creasing of paper at bottom area. A nicer example of this work would be difficult to find! A great addition to any collection!
