Wright, selecting 52representative works from the over 300 that were realized. Five volumes focus on specific styles such as his famed Prairie Houses, usonian Houses, or his concrete block houses. Three volumes focus on single buildingsTaliesin, Taliesin West, and Fallingwaterpresenting each with a totality that was heretofore unknown. This series embodies the essese of Wright’s residential design. This series contains a collection of beautiful color as well as black and white photographs demonstrating the incredible design talents of Frank Lloyd Wright and his Taliesin Architects. Each book has soft paperback covers with french flaps and measures 9″x 11¾” (227 × 300 mm). There is a short text section written in both English and Japanese that gives context to the selection of pictures in each book. This particular set was assembled as individual books over several years, so the condition varies between each book. Generally speaking, the condition is very good across all books. Some books have slight sun fading on the exterior covers (6 & 8) and book (4) has some ridges in the plastic coated cover. One book (7) has a small personalized note. White was an associate of Frank Lloyd Wright and worked for a time in Wright’s Oak Park studio. Several of the illustrations in this book are of Wright creations. This hardcover first edition, second printing, is signed by White on the first page, with a non-personalized inscription. Extremely rare thus: this is the only signed copy of any of White’s books for sale anywhere online. The book is in quite good condition. The binding is a little soft but still sound. The text is a little toned with age, otherwise in fine shape. Definitely an above-average copy of this collector’s item, made possibly unique by the autograph. 5.25″X 7.5″, vii + 520 pages plus a publisher’s catalog, many illustrations.
