Frank Lloyd Wright

This is a complete set of the Frank Lloyd Wright – Selected Drawings Portfolios – complete in three cloth clamshell cases – in exceptional condition, from the estate of the late Dr. Davey Lieb of Houston. His picture (see photo) was taken while in his late twenty’s with FLW in Minneapolis, MN. Lieb was a student of FLW and took classes at Taliesin West and visited many of his buildings for study. One-Hundred Fifty full-color plates, each mounted on stiff archival ivory board. Many previously unpublished drawings, numerous in Wrights hand, & some rendered by Wrights finest drafters. Volume I is housed in black cloth, Volume II in Blue, Volume III in Terra Cotta. The edition of Volume I was limited to 500 copies, which restricts the number complete sets to that number. Many sets are now in libraries, colleges & universities, so complete sets are becoming increasingly scarce, especially in such wonderful condition. Volume I is #076 of 500; Volume II is #319 of 700; Volume III is #396 of 500. The individual plates are titled & numbered 1-50 Vol. All three volumes have introductions & a list of drawings. I was published in 1977; Vol. II in 1980; Vol. Elephant Folios 18″ x 22″ +/. Condition overall is almost untouched and very good for its age. Some foxing and light brown spots due to oxidation are present in some pages.
