The tower, located in Racine, Wisconsin, was built between 1944 and 1950. This lighter belonged to an employee of the tower. The lighter is made of metal with red enamel stripes and a stepped circular base, resembling the tower’s design. The Johnson Wax Research Tower is notable for its unique cantilever construction and its role as a research facility for the SC Johnson company.
