Frank Lloyd Wright lithograph, “The Illinois”. 1957, custom frame handcrafted by Larson-Juhl/Aaron bros. Size with frame; 30,4 x 9 in. Print showing;28.7 x 7.4 in. Very good condition, slight age toning. The Mile-High Illinois, Illinois Sky City, or simply The Illinois is a proposed skyscraper that is over 1 mile (1,600 m) high, conceived and described by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in his 1957 book, A Testament. [1] The design, intended to be built in Chicago, included 528 stories, with a gross area of 18,460,000 square feet (1,715,000 m2). Wright stated that there would have been parking for 15,000 cars and 100 helicopters. If the building were built, it would top the list of the tallest buildings in the world by far, being more than four times the height of the Empire State Building, and twice as tall as the world’s current tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, the design of which is said to have been inspired by that of The Illinois. Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial Peacock CUSTOM Drapes & King/Cali. Duvet Schumacher

Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Imperial Peacock. Flat Panel Wide Drape. Screen Print based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s peacock design motifs for the Imperial Hotel in Japan. Cotton with various shades of blue, pink, tan, periwinkle, coral, red, lavender, etc. No wear on the duvet and slight water marks on the drape that should wash out. These were custom made in the 1990s, used for 2-3 years and boxed up and I inherited these. These drapes and duvet uses over 9+ yards material. 153 wide x 71 ½ long. This is ONE VERY WIDE PANEL. Ould fit nicely on a window width 51 give or take a few inches. I divided the width of the drape by 3 to get this number for the ideal window width. There are a few light water stains that are not noticeable and should come out with professional cleaning. I’m not sure how this drape was hung but there are s. Mall buttonhole type slits in the back of this drape spaced ½ down from the top. This means that if you were to use drapery rings with metal curtain hooks, your drapery ring’loop’, should be hidden from view, which is a nice custom finish. Another alternative is to use clip-on drapery rings. Duvet: 101 x 90. Both sides have the same pattern. Has a professional snap closure on one of the sides and this should be placed on the foot side of the bed. This duvet will fit a King-sized bed and this will have a 12 1/2 drop length on the two long sides of bed. This duvet will also fit a California King-sized bed and this will have a 14 ½ drop length on the two long sides of the bed. I didn’t see any wear on this duvet. Additional material is also included. Please see the photos. This set has been stored inside an air conditioned house, in a dry climate for the past 25 years, never in any heat or damp climate. Unique custom-designed (by urban remains) and built single electric light frank lloyd wright-designed prism glass tile desk or table lamp. The socket is housed within a custom-built wood enclosure comprised largely of salvaged chicago luxfer prism tiles with one of the few frank lloyd wright patented designs offered by the luxfer prism company, chicago, ills. The lamp contains a newly added braided cloth cord and plug. The fixture is comprised of walnut and oak woods joined together. Several matching fixtures available. The light fixture can be adapted for use as wall sconces or ceiling lamps.
