SUCCESSFUL HOUSES AND HOW TO BUILD THEM. Chicago area architect and architecture critic Charles E. Makes a thorough examination of single-dwelling houses in this significant work, published in 1912. White was an associate of Frank Lloyd Wright and worked for a time in Wright’s Oak Park studio. Several of the illustrations in this book are of Wright creations. This hardcover first edition, second printing, is signed by White on the first page, with a non-personalized inscription. Extremely rare thus: this is the only signed copy of any of White’s books for sale anywhere online. The book is in quite good condition. The binding is a little soft but still sound. The text is a little toned with age, otherwise in fine shape. Definitely an above-average copy of this collector’s item, made possibly unique by the autograph. 5.25″X 7.5″, vii + 520 pages plus a publisher’s catalog, many illustrations. Frank Lloyd Wright, TALIESIN TRACT NUMBER ONE: MAN. Inscribed by Frank Lloyd Wright inside the red box on the first page, “Finally / To Emily / Hoping for another” and signed simply as F, dated 1954. Each panel measures 5.75 x 7.5 inches, and the entire piece is 37.5 inches wide all together. Very Good condition, minor soil to the front, small dampstain affecting parts of the inscription. This little booklet was printed in 1953 by Wright to give as a Christmas gift to friends. Despite Wright’s hopeful inscription and numbering this as Tract One, no additional issues were ever printed. Wright philosophizes on architecture, democracy, Individualists, art and nature, and concludes that In the depth of a man’s Faith would lie his true humility, that of the IDEAL MAN. His prayer would be humble only to ever-changing never-ending LIFE. No wonder Ayn Rand loved him! A rare piece of Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin ephemera, inscribed by the master architect. A rare wooden table lamp designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, signed and labeled, Frank Lloyd Wright FDN 1994 / 00013 / S2310 / Yamagiwa. There is also a Lumiere hallmark at bottom, see pics. Made up of rectangular boxes and cherry plywood shields. The design was inspired by a tree with branches and leaves. The boxes are open at the top and bottom, allowing the light to reflect off thin flat panels that can be slotted on either above or below each one. These fixtures proved to be a lighting innovation, providing comfortable indirect lighting without the use of glass or shades. Dimensions are 8 x 8 x 30 tall. This 1956 autographed USA 2 DOLLAR BILL is personally signed by Frank Lloyd Wright in blue ink. He also printed in blue ink’1956′. The currency is authentic and signed by the Treasurer of the United States Katheryn O’Hay Granahan and signed by the Secretary of the Treasury C. The bill is a Series 1953 C with the red seal on the right side of the bill. The reverse side of the bill is marked’406′ which is the plate number. Frank Lloyd Wright became famous and sought after with his Prairie Style architecture which strived for’an organic’ architecture for homes and commercial buildings. One of these styles was’open floor plan’ which he believed was the antidote to a’closed-in’ architecture. This personally signed 2 Dollar bill is a rare find and great specimen of his flair signature. Signed Tiffany & Co. Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Crystal Vase. This weighty, beautiful genuine Tiffany & Co. Vase is in Great Condition. There is a small bubble from the Company. There are no chips in it and it is a great item for any Frank Lloyd Wright aficionado. It is simple and elegant and somewhat organic with its hexagon, honeycomb shape. It is just over 9 ½ inches high and is 4 ¾ inches across at the top of the piece. It is a hefty 3 lb 7oz weight. The signature at the bottom is etched: Tiffany & Co.
