Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is one of the city’s most iconic buildings. This model has an off white finish and is very heavy, weighing 3 3/4 lbs! The front reads The Solomon R. On the back are marks present on the original resin model, from which this metal version was cast, namely: 1997 City Models / 1997 Guggenheim Museum. The replica measures 5 1/2″ wide by 4″ deep by 3 1/2 in height and is in excellent condition. This is in excellent condition with original paperweight with information, and pouch with tag. The center double pendant measures 2 1/4, and this clasps in the back by simply sliding one end into the other as shown. This measures approximately 16 3/4 around the inside opening when clasped. Each piece incorporates actual historic fragments of Frank Lloyd Wright’s landmark Guggenheim Museum, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2009. Lightweight concrete and Gunite remnants, set aside during the 2007 restoration process from the building’s walls, are presented in resin and sterling silver settings.
