Salvaged from a building in Algona, Iowa (see building as it is pictured now covered with a slate looking tile). The 100+ year old panel prism tile and Frank Lloyd Wright designed tiles were used as a transom in a commercial space. The tiles were designed to redirect sunlight from windows where the light came in sending it deep into the interior spaces where there was no natural light. Luxfer prism glass advertised it could double the amount of light with the addition of horizontal prisms to the back side of square glass tiles when compared to normal glass windows. In 1896 Frank Lloyd Wright patented the design. 4″ X 4″ X 1/4 thickness. I have two 4 foot by 4 foot panels that are barely held together but are supported my a sheet of underlayment. In each of those panels there are 26 Frank Lloyd Wright designed tiles surrounded by 106 plain prism tiles one signature violet tile on each panel. Loose tiles I have 60 FLW design tiles and 276 clear prism tiles. For a grand total of 600 tiles cumulatively (112 flw + 488 prism = 600). This is a rare lot to have all these tiles together. Great archectural salvage that could be used in a variety of different applications. And hopefully implemented back into a transom in a restoration project. NOTE: the last 3 pictures are to give you reference to an intact store front in Northfield, MN. The item “600 FLW Frank Lloyd Wright architectural salvage luxfer tile glass” is in sale since Wednesday, November 13, 2019. This item is in the category “Antiques\Architectural & Garden\Tiles”. The seller is “refinedbymisty” and is located in Faribault, Minnesota. This item can’t be shipped, the buyer must pick up the item.

This is a great piece that was salvaged from an old home. It has mostly clear glass with small pieces of yellow and blue within intricate zinc caming. The larger central yellow panels are not original but the design is. Reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wrights work in stained glass. The new pine frame is ready for stain or paint. It measures 44 inches wide by 21.75 tall. And 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is appx. 36 by 17.75. Overall it is in good condition. There are scratches and dings as it is antique. There are several pieces with cracks but no missing glass. It could use a good cleaning. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! The item “ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS WINDOW FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT STYLE 44 X 22 SALVAGE” is in sale since Thursday, May 30, 2019. This item is in the category “Antiques\Architectural & Garden\Stained Glass Windows”. The seller is “bigsteveareno29″ and is located in York, Pennsylvania. This item can be shipped to United States.
