Frank Lloyd Wright

A rare wooden table lamp designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, signed and labeled, Frank Lloyd Wright FDN 1994 / 00013 / S2310 / Yamagiwa. There is also a Lumiere hallmark at bottom, see pics. Made up of rectangular boxes and cherry plywood shields. The design was inspired by a tree with branches and leaves. The boxes are open at the top and bottom, allowing the light to reflect off thin flat panels that can be slotted on either above or below each one. These fixtures proved to be a lighting innovation, providing comfortable indirect lighting without the use of glass or shades. Dimensions are 8 x 8 x 30 tall.
