Rare 1947 Johnson’s Wax Research Tower Table Cigar Lighter designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. These lighters were produced in a very limited amount and given to upper level Johnson’s Wax employees as gifts from 1947 to 1950. The lighter is in pristine condition and has never been used. Just add lighter fluid! The lighter is approximately 5.75 inches tall and made of chrome and steel. Modeled after Johnson’s Wax Research Tower which was Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed the building in the 1930s, but was not constructed until the 1940s. Chrome Plated with Red Enamel. The lighter was commioned by H J Johnson, the President of the company and was given to certain employees of the company. Measures 5 3/4″ x 2 7/8″ (across the base). Very Good Vintage Condition. There is some red enamel loss. A few minor scratches, scuffs, commensurate with its age and noraml usage. Dates to the 1940s. Be sure to scroll down to view all of the pics.
