After Frank Lloyd Wright (American, 1869 – 1859). Shidoni Foundry in Tesuque, New Mexico. Cast in partnership between the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and. Thomas Nelson Hubbard, 1974. Pair of patinated bronze statues, conceived in 1929-30 in terracotta and cast in bronze in 1974. The present works were cast in 1974 from molds created from original terracotta sculptures. Authorized Limited edition 500. As a side note, to date the full edition has not been produced. Approximately 200 sets have been produced. In December 1973, The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation granted Thomas Nelson Hubbard a license to produce the pair in bronze to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the original designs. Nakoma is a Chippewa word meaning’I do as I promise’.
