A Menu with Edelweiss Gardens logo at bottom in the top center is a beautiful turkey, also on the front is all the wonderful choices. This is a great old cardstock menu, at the bottom right is the date Thursday, November 29, 1917 the back side of the card has no printing. The Midway Gardens, 60th & Cottage Grove Ave. Chicago, IL name and ownership was only under the first owners for 2 short seasons from the opening June 27 th. 1914 tell Edelweiss Brewing Co. Took over in 1916. The name then was changed to “EDELWEISS GARDENS”. Please see my other FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT ARTIFACTS on other auctions I have going now! The entire structure was torn down in 1929.
