Rare Frank Lloyd Wright Collectable & Great Gift! DD Martin House Birdhouse Replica This birdhouse was adapted from Wright’s design of the martin birdhouse that sits atop the D. Martin house in Buffalo, (1907). A quartet of birdhouses sits perched atop the Martin House conservatory roof–one at each of its four corners. Frank Lloyd Wright designed these solid limestone structures for the Martin House Complex as homes to attract the purple martin. It is also believed that Wright intended these birdhouses to serve as a whimsical, yet metaphorical, nod to his clients–the Darwin Martin Family. The birdhouses with their distinctive Pagoda-like shape are an architectural element unique to and in complete harmony with the overall composition of the site. This faithful reproduction measures 25″ wide by 14″deep and 28 high. It is composed of cast stone and limestone. Please contact me if you have an issue, prior to leaving feedback.
