These glass, Frank Lloyd Wright window panes were made prior to 1919, evidenced by the purple hue in the glass. In those days, glass makers sprayed manganese in the mold as a release agent. When the finished glass was later exposed to the sun’s ultra-violet rays, it activated the manganese and caused the glass to turn purple! Exquisite patterning, each pane is approximately 4 square. A few small chips here and there, mostly corners, but nothing major. These were part of a large window that has since been dismantled and these panes survived the last 100 years remarkably well!
