Licensed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation (see tag/label). Medium: Kiln-fired enamel on glass panel, framed in metal come / wood stand included. Approx size: 11.5. Provenance/Condition: Excellent vintage condition, glass free of cracks, frame shows minor wear. This piece captures Wright’s signature geometric abstraction, depicting a basket of fruits/flowers in his Prairie-School style. Ideal for mid-century modern décor, architectural art collectors, or Wright enthusiasts. Minor patina on frame typical of age.

There are small amounts of wear on the lower portion of the frame (see photos) but the panel itself is in outstanding condition.

On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The panel includes a copper patinated frame, gorgeous wooden base stand, and matching chain for hanging. The measurements of this beautiful Stained Glass art are: 10″High, 10.25″ Wide and 0.25 Deep. It weighs about 1.5 pounds. The abstract motif designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the March cover depicts a group of colorful balloons rising into the sky. The editors thought that the series of designs were too “radical” and were never used.
This piece is not stained glass. The design is reverse applied and molded to the glass. The signature is illegible to me and the frame has an identification plate attached to the right side that reads Dickinson Wright PLLC. Upon research, this DW is a huge law firm and not a product production company. If you know, please fill me in, I would be grateful for the information.
