Frank Lloyd Wright, TALIESIN TRACT NUMBER ONE: MAN. Inscribed by Frank Lloyd Wright inside the red box on the first page, “Finally / To Emily / Hoping for another” and signed simply as F, dated 1954. Each panel measures 5.75 x 7.5 inches, and the entire piece is 37.5 inches wide all together. Very Good condition, minor soil to the front, small dampstain affecting parts of the inscription. This little booklet was printed in 1953 by Wright to give as a Christmas gift to friends. Despite Wright’s hopeful inscription and numbering this as Tract One, no additional issues were ever printed. Wright philosophizes on architecture, democracy, Individualists, art and nature, and concludes that In the depth of a man’s Faith would lie his true humility, that of the IDEAL MAN. His prayer would be humble only to ever-changing never-ending LIFE. No wonder Ayn Rand loved him! A rare piece of Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin ephemera, inscribed by the master architect.
