Frank Lloyd Wright: Selected Houses 1 (1991, softcover) is the first volume in an eight-part monograph series edited and photographed by Yukio Futagawa, with text by Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer. This beautifully produced book presents an in-depth visual study of eleven of Wright’s early residential masterpieces, including his own home and studio in Oak Park. Through detailed photographs and architectural drawings, the volume showcases Wright’s evolving approach to organic design, space, and structure during the formative years of his Prairie School period. Pfeiffer’s accompanying essay provides historical and architectural insights, illustrating how these homes reflect Wright’s vision of harmony between human habitation and the natural environment.
