The book is semi-autobiographical in that he discusses his Philosophy of the genius of Architecture in the society of the USA in 1949 Post War America and the influence that Sullivan had on him. About a 1/3 of the book is plates of drawings done by the “Master” (Sullivan), they are fabulous and I included a few in the photographs. As an architect I found it as pertinent today, maybe more so, than in 1949. A quick but intellectual read. The book is in great shape. No tears, dog ears, stains or other disfigurements. The book jacket is a bit on the rough side. Quite a few tears that I have highlighted in the photographs. The Jacket has been professionally covered in acetate to prevent any further damage. The markings on the Jacket are shadow and light. Frank’s signature is crisp and you can even see the line he drew to sign his name on.
