It’s a dialogue/essay format where Wright articulates how “organic architecture” must shape-and be shaped by-modern democratic life, technology, housing, and society. Co-author Brownell was a philosopher and journalist provides the broader cultural frame, making it a thoughtful critique of industrialization, speculation, and urban chaos. Or Wright scholars studying his social/ethical views on building, this is one of the more difficult books to find.
