This plaque is made of pieces of redwood that were assemble to show the spire of the Marin Civic Center which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The artist has applied texture to show the sky and grassy hill. There is a representation of the clouds in the sky. This piece was actually given as a first place trophy at the Marin County Fair. This measures 9 1/4″ x 13″ and is wired to hang. The redwood pieces are glued onto a fir wood backing. There is some damage to the trim around the round hole where the county seal was otherwise this piece is in very good condition. I couldn’t find anything out about this artist. This area is home to many wood artists. I have many other hand crafted wood pieces available. Too see them go to my sales at modhare and put in wood under search this dealers listings.
