1938 Vintage Press Photo by ASSOCIATED PRESS. This panoramic sketch shows Architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Dream Project” of a municipal office building and civic center in Madison, Wisconsin, to get away from just another office building downtown. The buildings in the foreground are now up. Wright, backed by rural members of the Dance county board, proposes a seven acre fill in Lake Monona. County and municipal offices would extend three stores under the outer rim of the semicircle, leaving promenades, open terraces and automobile drives on the surface. Included is a plan for a union railroad station with trains running underground. Frank Lloyd Wright Sr. Was an American architect, designer, writer, and educator. He designed more than 1,000 structures over a creative period of 70 years. Photo is Dated: November 5, 1938. THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC PHOTO, NOT A COPY OR SCANS.
