A very special memoir written by a young couple who befriended architect Wright during the Great Depression, challenging him to design “a five-thousand-dollar house”. He designed the famous Usonia #1, and the Solar Hemisphere over the years, and the book includes photos and anecdotes about the process. Their friendship lasted 25 years, until Wright’s death. This is a scarce copy of the 1978 first edition, published by Chronicle Books in association with Robert Briggs. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
