Designed by the Dominos Center for Architecture in 1989, it measures approximately 22 inches (from underarm seam to underarm seam), about 27 inches from back collar to bottom, and is in good condition (Hanes Beefy-T brand, 100% cotton). Frank Lloyd Wright was an architect, interior designer, writer and educator, who designed more than 1,000 projects, which resulted in more than 500 completed works. He promoted organic architecture (exemplified by Fallingwater), was a leader of the Prairie School movement of architecture (exemplified by the Robie House and the Westcott House), and developed the concept of the Usonian home (exemplified by the Rosenbaum House). His work includes original and innovative examples of many different building types, including offices, churches, schools, sky scrapers, hotels, and museums. Wright also often designed many of the interior elements of his buildings, such as the furniture and stained glass. The piece featured on the shirt is one of the windows created by Wright for the Avery Coonley playhouse, designed in 1907. The Coonley windows are geometric, recalling the abstract compositions of contemporary European painters. The use of primary instead of earth tones was unusual for Wright at that time, but the playhouse was actually a kindergarten run by Mrs. Coonley, and Wright chose to use festive shapes and colors with children in mind.
