All in original half black cloth portfolio with original ribbon ties. This is number 405 E of a limited edition of 2600 copies of Wright’s earliest work. The planned American edition was stored at Wright’s first Taliesin. In 1914, a servant there went on a murderous rampage, killing seven people (including Wright’s wife) and burning down his house. Only one complete copy of the work survived, and in cooperation with Frank Lloyd Wright, this folio was authorized by him in 1958 just a year before he died. This portfolio was produced in a limited edition of 2600 copies, 2500 of those were made available for sale. A special type and paper were selected for this work. There are a few smudges on the front and back hard cover. Also a few rubs on back side bottom. The plates are near pristine. You won’t find one comparable on the internet for this price.
