This beautifully framed needlepoint textile artwork is adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright’s original rug design for the historic Eileen Barnsdall Hollyhock House in Los Angeles, built in 1920. The geometric design, executed in shades of rose, burgundy, and slate blue, captures Wright’s iconic Prairie style. Professionally framed in 1995 with museum-grade matting and UV-protective TruVue glass, this piece is both a striking decorative accent and a collectible for Wright enthusiasts. Measurements (framed): approx. 12″ W x 24″ H. Medium: Hand-stitched needlepoint textile on fabric. Design origin: Adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House rug design (1920). Framing: Crescent museum-grade rag mat, TruVue UV protection glass, light wood frame. Date of framing: 1995. Condition: Artwork is excellent, clean, and vibrant. Frame shows minor age wear; paper backing has a small tear near the hanger (see photos). Overall beautifully preserved and ready to hang. Vintage Frank Lloyd Wright Schumacher Textura. Reproduced by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. I believe in 2017. Linen and Cotton Blend. I checked Schumacher and it looks like it was a limited edition run. And they no longer carry this pattern in these colors. Never Used and Stored Correctly. 56 1/2 ” wide x 72″ long.
